Online Catalog: from LUIS to ‘online catalog’ to Innovative Interfaces, Inc.’s Millennium/Encore!

Posted by isulib on March 13, 2010

Coming soon! No more “LUIS”. The ISU Library is moving forward with the creation of its first ILS {Integrated Library System}, and we’re not alone! With the formation of Library Consortium of Vigo County = not just Library holdings at ISU, Rose-Hulman and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods [our arrangement for many years], but also Vigo County Public Library. As far as we can tell, this is “the first academic and public consortium in Indiana”. For more information, see ‘Libraries Sign Memorandum of Understanding” [January 29, 2010].

Note: The ISU Library continues to show its innovative side; we were the FIRST university library in Indiana to get its online catalog {NOTIS} up and running way back in March, 1985, so here we are, 25 years later, still out there on the techno-edge! [posted by MM]
