Book event at Public Library: Halibut Rodeo with author Mark Lewandowski

Mark Lewandowski, ISU associate professor of creative writing, will read from his short story collection, “Halibut Rodeo,” at the Vigo County Main Library at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, May 19. Lewandowski’s essays and stories have appeared in many journals, including “The Best American Nonrequired Reading,” “The Best American Travel Writing,” and “The Best American Essays.” His short story collection, “Halibut Rodeo,” was published in April 2010 by All Things That Matter Press. During the 1999-2000 academic year, Professor Lewandowski was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Siauliai, Lithuania, and from 1991-1993, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Poland. Professor Lewandowski earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Wichita State University in 1991. A book signing will follow the reading.
