April 17: BAKED POTATO BAR TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HEARING LOSS/DEAF COMMUNITY

Posted by isulib on April 11, 2014

The library’s spring fundraiser will be a loaded baked potato bar luncheon on April 17, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Library Events Area. For $5 you’ll get a potato with a huge fixings bar, a dessert and tea or lemonade. Proceeds will go to Hear Indiana (http://www.hearindiana.org). This organization provides advocacy and leadership to families with children with hearing loss as well as individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Advanced tickets are recommended. Contact Christi Reinig (X2564 or Christi.reinig@indstate.edu) in the library administration office.

We had another very successful fundraiser! Thank you to everyone who donated desserts and/or stopped by to eat a potato. This year’s event raised a total of $520 for Hear Indiana. With the amount we’ve raised, we’ll be able to support the leadership camp for hearing impaired youth this summer at Bradford Woods in Martinsville, IN.
