Faculty & Staff writing circles: call for participants

Posted by isulib on December 9, 2015

Struggling to translate your research or lessons-learned into a publishable article, book chapter or blog?  Join 15 colleagues from across campus to discuss and share your work, gain valuable feedback and hear tips and advice on writing and publishing.

Co-sponsored by the Cunningham Memorial Library and the Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence, this year-long program will provide opportunities for writing workshops, speakers and a retreat as well as setting up environments for participants to meet and share their work.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend the workshop Hunks, Chunks, & Bites – How to Get Your Writing Projects Planned So You Can Get Them Completed on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 (time is yet to be determined) at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  The workshop is facilitated by Dr. Meggin McIntosh, associated with the Text and Academic Authors Association.

The inaugural program runs from Jan. 25th through Dec. 16, 2016.  To apply, please submit a brief paragraph describing why this particular opportunity will benefit your professional development.

Submit the paragraph with your contact information to Linda Niemiec in the FCTE at or x2688 by Jan. 15th, 2016.
