Posted by isulib on September 6, 2011

Wabash Valley Visions & Voices has launched a new initiative to provide context for its digital assets. Video Vignettes are 3-5 minute videos focused on a person, place or event connected to the region’s history and cultural heritage. These videos will be made available through the WV3 web site and YouTube. The first video, “Fort Turman, Indiana Territory, 1810-1816,” is now available for viewing at http://visions.indstate.edu or at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsH7EHZGPtU.  Currently under production is a video on the Lost Creek Grove Club founded by the descendants of the Lost Creek Settlement.  Cinda May has submitted a chapter for publication in Preserving Local Writers, Genealogy, Photographs, Newspapers and Related Materials (Scarecrow Press) that describes the initiative and the creative process.
